Recently I have been having a difficult time personally but as always, "musics" tend to help me put words to my pain and enable me to carrry on! This past 2 weeks it has been this song written by Ewan MaColl!
My personal CD and top choice is the version performed by the band Claymore with William Hutton lead singer doing an incredible job with an auld favourite!

Even in the midst of my struggles I am given the ability to share my musics with the ones currently in the circle of my living sphere~ One particular lady I work with struggles with memory issues but as we sat together listening to this version she began to weep and I felt real healing begin inside of her! After the song had been played several times we sat quietly together for a few more minutes.

Then she looked up at me and said "well it's a beautiful song and performed quite well Mary but, how do you know what they're saying?" (it's partly sung in Auld Scot's Gaelic ye see) I reassured her that my interpretations were indeed correct as I've read much Scot's Gaelic dialect literature over the past 20 years and been able to decipher meanings correctly

If you're interested to learn more about those Terror Times in Scotland I highly recommend picking up a copy of "The Highland Clearances" published by Mercat Cross~ Then listen to Claymore's version of this song done by William Hutton and be moved and inspired as I have been~
Till next week,
